Dr. Meneghini presents research on Direct Anterior Approach for Hip Replacement
Dr. Meneghini recently presented research on the Direct Anterior Approach for hip replacement at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery Annual Meeting March 2016 in Orlando. The research highlights the risk of early implant loosening and fracture associated with this highly marketed surgical approach. The research is a multi-center collaboration between three nationally recognized institutions in hip and knee replacement (Indiana University Health Saxony Hospital, Ortho Carolina and the Rothman Institute at Jefferson Medical College) and was presented in the research paper session of the meeting, as well as during the Hip Society Specialty Day opening session.
